Kensington Shopping
Far less crowded than the West End, Kensington offers a somewhat more relaxed shopping atmosphere as well as an impressive array and diversity of shops. Not only do the High Street stores include Marks and Spencer, Next, River Island and Miss Selfridge but also the more exclusive and expensive shopping outlets too. Camden Hill Road and Church Street boast a variety of unique gift shops as well as a vast array of privately owned speciality stores. Church Street is also home to a number of exclusive antique shops specialising in Victorian paintings, Art Deco pieces and Oriental porcelain. Barkers Arcade on the High Street houses upmarket fashion such as Jaeger and Karen Milan labels along with a large House of Fraser department store and an increasingly popular wholefoods market. Kensington Market, just off Church Street is a professional and well laid out market place dealing predominately in fashions and accessories.
